MicroSnap E.coli is a rapid test for the detection and enumeration of Escherichia coli. The test is based on a bioluminogenic reaction between enzymes produced by E.coli and certain substrates, during which light is produced. The amount of light produced is measured with the EnSure Touch luminometer. Results are obtained in less than 8 hours, depending on the desired detection limits. Sporadic microorganisms can be detected in 8 hours, allowing results to be obtained within the working day or shift.
