Klintensiv® Decapons acid stripper & descaler

Effectively removes limescale, cement, rust and solidified dirt.

Acid solution for professional cleaning of hard, non-porous, acid-resistant surfaces. Dissolves limescale crusts, cement, plaster residues, rust and mineral deposits. Designed for grout and acid-resistant floors, and for descaling water circuits (swimming pools, heat exchangers, condensers, central heating systems, etc.). Can also be used in the food industry (with adequate rinsing after use).

Recommended uses

  • Grout between floor/wall tiles; linoleum, tarkett, epoxy resin floors
  • Limescale removal from swimming pools, condenser pipes, radiators, central heating systems, distribution circuits (Al/Stainless steel)
  • Removal of cement deposits from concrete mixers and plaster residues from floors
  • Hard surfaces: floor tiles, wall tiles, ceramic, linoleum, epoxy resin

Do not use on easily corrodible materials: copper, zinc, unprotected iron.

Instructions for use

It can be used as is or diluted. Apply to corrosion-resistant surfaces with: manual applicator/brush/sponge/microfiber cloth or by immersion (plastic tub). After contact time, rinse thoroughly with water.

  • Limescale crusts (rapid removal): dilution 1:10 (product:water), ~1 minute contact.
  • Grout & floor stripping (linoleum, tarkett, epoxy resin): 1:2 or as is, ~40 sec contact, then rinse.
  • Water circuits (air conditioning / industrial technical water): as is.
  • Usual contact on surfaces: 3–5 minutes, then rinse. Scrubbing with a hard sponge/brush accelerates cleaning.
  • Descaling agent for condensing central heating systems & heat exchangers (STAINLESS STEEL/Al):

Ø Ready-to-use solution: 15–30% v/v (depending on the level of deposits).

Ø Example 10 L at 15% v/v: 1.5 L Decapons + 8.5 L water.

Ø After treatment: empty the circuit and rinse with alkaline solution for pH neutralization (100 g bicarbonate/10 L water, stir until dissolved), recirculate for a few minutes, then rinse with water.

Requires adequate rinsing after use. In food areas, rinsing with potable water is mandatory.

Precautions for use

  • Acid product: wear gloves and eye protection; avoid splashing.
  • Do not mix with other substances. (General recommendation: do not combine acid products with bleaches/hypochlorite.)
  • Compatibility test on a small area before widespread use.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with corrosion-sensitive metals.
